(Title Translation: Save the World; Eat more Worms. inspired by Phillip in comments)
You can’t miss it. Everywhere you go, anymore, our children are being indoctrinated with all kinds of “Save the planet” happycrap. Pay attention when you visit their classrooms or look at what they bring home. Global warming/cooling/climate change is thematic in every subject. And it’s all our fault. We drive too much, we use too much energy, we spray our hair too much, and we eat too much beef which comes from cattle that release too much flatulence, and we exhale too much carbon dioxide. Our little children are being brainwashed to believe that their parents are ravaging and polluting the world and they are scared for their future.

And the indoctrination is perpetuated in the entertainment world. Have you noticed? Even Disneyland has gone “green” (I hate green). Their branded products carry green messages. Disney’s eco-friendliness is hypocritical though. Every night they fill the atmosphere with the smoke of hundreds of fireworks. The soot drops all over the cars and the cloud covers miles of sky with more pollution in thirty minutes than my car can produce in a hundred years. But that’s Okay because they make it up with their gestures of “concern” which is nothing more than symbolism over substance. Instead of telling me how to reduce my little carbon footprint, maybe Mickey should stop covering the landscape with a ten square mile carbon blanket.
Environmentalism is more than just a matter of questionable science. It is the new name for an old, false religion; the worship of mother earth. But a biblical worldview recognizes that God created the earth and everything in it. Then He created man (male and female) and placed them in the world to dwell in it, populate it, subdue it, cultivate it, harvest it, explore it, use it, and enjoy it until He ends it and makes it new. And God is sovereign over all of it. He holds all things together. He has determined its course in the universe and its times and seasons. He controls its climate and its changes according to His determined purpose and good pleasure. We couldn’t destroy it if we wanted to and we certainly can’t prevent its destruction when He ordains it.
So lighten up on the Algore stuff.
And remember, that tree isn’t your girlfriend and the earth isn’t your mother.
The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Psalm 24:1-2
Praise God for all the bounty and blessings of this world and thank Him for it.

The world's earthworm population produces 30,000 times more methane gas than cattle. So the solution to global warming is kill all the earthworms. Better still use the as bait.
Great post! I completely agree. Environmentalism is nothing more than pantheism. It's been insidiously inserted into children's books, movies, schools, etc with devastating results.
Wow, Phillip.
Earthworms; who woulda thought?
I won't argue that with a naturalist and fisherman like you.
So I can already envision a new bumper sticker; "Save the World, Eat more Worms"
I love Phillip's data bite. I believe it, but is there a source I can go to that will set my tofu teachers back a step?
Grace and peace.
