Nothing About This Administration Surprises Me Anymore

In 1933, Germany's parliament building in Berlin was burned.  Historians believe that Adolf Hitler was responsible.  The Nazis blamed it on communists.  Nevertheless, Hitler exploited the incident and used it as an excuse to suspend the country's constitutional liberties and consolidate power.

On September 30, 2009, Glenn Beck (you know, the nutcase conspiracy theorist that the left hates and wants to shut up.  Yeah, that Glenn Beck who is usually right), in an exclusive interview with Newsmax said this about the future of our constitutional government under the Obama administration:

"I fear a Reichstag moment."

Really?  He can't be serious, can he?  Surely the fear-monger is just bloviating for ratings.

That was three and a half years ago and nothing has happened.

Well "Pinterest" this.  I am reproducing this item in its entirety (and I am keeping a hard copy in my file) just in case the Department of Homeland Security suddenly scrubs it.  Call me an alarmist, cynical, or whatever but nothing about this administration surprises me anymore.

DHS Whistleblower: Obama to Commit 'Reichstag' Event to Enact Martial Law

DHS Whistleblower: Obama to Commit 'Reichstag' Event to Enact Martial Law

Written on May 12, 2012 by V2A

[While we can't verify the accuracy of this 'DHS whistleblower' we feel we should at least inform of the possibility.]

The Obama agents, through the DHS and other assorted colluders, are plotting a major ‘Reichstag’ event to generate racial riots and produce the justification for martial law, delaying the November 2012 elections, possibly indefinitely, a DHS whistleblower informed the Canada Free Press on Tuesday.

The ‘Reichstag Event’ would take the form of a staged assassination attempt against Barack Obama, “carefully choreographed” and manufactured by Obama operatives. It would subsequently be blamed on “white supremacists” and used to enrage the black community to rioting and looting, the DHS source warned.

The Obama administration would then use the violence and chaos they created as justification for the imposition of martial law in major urban cities in America, the creation of DHS checkpoints, restriction of travel, and the indefinite delay of the November 2012 elections...

The Reichstag event refers to a fire started during Hitler’s rise to power. The fire allowed him to grab emergency powers and murder his opposition. Historians have long believed that Hitler started the fire himself, while he blamed it on the Communists.

The anonymous whistleblower elaborated on how the Obama administration is using the Occupy movement, labor unions, and other assorted subversive groups to create massive chaos within the nation.

“Using untracked campaign funds, they are paying people to infiltrate the various movements to cause physical destruction of property and disrupt commerce. That began last year, but has increased ten-fold already this year,” the DHS source shared.

“Obama is using some high profile people as pawns to forment the revolution. I heard several times through very credible sources that [Louis] Farrakhan is on the CIA payroll. Other have been named as well, but I’m not prepared to identify them yet. Farrakhan is to coordinate the Blacks and the Muslims to prepare for riots this summer, using any means necessary.”

Early every Mother’s Day, my friend, Mike, called his mother and serenaded her with the same song:

M- is for the MANY things (you) gave me,

(At this point the familiar song ended as we know it but he would go on to butcher the tune with these inane words of his own invention)

O- is for the OTHER things you gave me,
T- is for the THOUSAND things you gave me,
H- is for the HUNDRED things you gave me,
E- is for EVERYTHING you gave me,
R- is for the REST of the things you gave me.

We always got a laugh out of his annual ritual but as funny as his song was, it acknowledged the giving nature of motherhood and I think his mother really did appreciate his well-meaning recognition and attention.

A mother is a person who, seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, suddenly announces that she never did care for pie. I didn’t realize it when I was young but my mother’s life was all about hard work and sacrifice, not for her own self-satisfaction, or self-actualization, but for her seven children. Not until I became a parent and I saw my wife doing the same things, did I understand just how much mothers sacrifice for their children. That’s what mothers do; that’s what motherhood is all about.

Just about the time a mother thinks her work is done, she becomes a grandmother. My wife and I have eight grandchildren and one great-grandson, and the giving never stops. Just as my mother gave to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, my wife continues to give to our children and our grandchildren. I think God created mothers to demonstrate something of His love and sacrifice for His children.

William Thackeray said, “Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children.”

Happy Mothers Day!

The Life Of Ralphy - Life Under Obama

May 7, 2012

Dear Mr. President,

It’s been quite a while since I have written to you but lately, I’ve been a little disturbed reading about the life of this mythical (like your composite New York girlfriend), entitlement dependent, Julia who is the new poster chick for life under your reign.

Well sir, I have been around almost as long as your NEW imaginary girlfriend and I have a much different view of America where we are all free to make our own way without your help.
Here is My Life; I call it “The Life of Ralphy” and mine is REAL.

At Age 4,
Under President Dwight D. Eisenhower, my mother enrolled me in a preschool (we called them nursery schools in those days) because she worked part-time.  It wasn’t because I needed a” Head Start” to be ready for kindergarten; nobody I knew needed a head start for kindergarten.  That was the job of parents.  We all got our head starts at home with our mothers who taught us songs, nursery rhymes, how to tie our shoes, how to count and add, and the alphabet.  And our fathers were there when discipline was needed.  Nursery schools were private and my parents paid the price for child care without government assistance.  Under President Eisenhower, this nation had a robust work ethic, a respect for God and a competitive atmosphere which encouraged self-reliance.  We didn’t need no stinkin’ state-run programs to indoctrinate innocent children with socialistic ideas.

At Age 8,
During Eisenhower’s second term, I got my first job.  My parents didn’t even know I had it until my mother found me selling newspapers in the grocery store.  Under an Obama presidency, an eight-year-old has a snowball’s chance in a hot place of finding employment.  And even teens can’t be employed without getting permission from bureaucrats; what’s that all about?  Well my parents allowed me to continue my job (one of many I had as a child) because they knew it was good for me.  I earned my own money.  And I bought my own stuff.  It wasn’t much but my boss paid me in silver coins which actually had some value unlike the worthless slugs you call money today.

At Age 17
I took my SAT tests and was well-prepared for college without any College and Career ready standards.  Why?  Because when I went to school, we learned how to read and write and count and think.  Teachers didn’t waste their time on multicultural, PC, revisionist history, tree-hugging, America hating, how-to-stretch-a-condom on a Green banana, happycrap.

At Age 18
I enrolled in a community college.  I worked part-time as a cook at a hamburger stand, I swept the sidewalks at my school campus, and I worked as a night-time janitor to pay the tuition costs and buy my books because that’s what responsible, self-reliant people do.   At graduation I didn’t have any student loan debt and if I did, I never would have considered defaulting on it and leaving the tax-payers holding the bag.  Nor would I expect the taxpayers to just give it to me.

At Age 21
Just a few months after our marriage, my wife and I bought our first house.  It wasn’t new and it wasn’t big but it was ours.  We saved enough for a 10% down-payment and qualified for a loan on the merits of my $400.00 per month income.  That’s what responsible, self-reliant people used to do before you were around to help.

At Age 23
Unlike Julie, I didn’t need surgery but my wife and I were expecting our first daughter.  We paid for our own visits to her doctor and we began to save the money that would be required for the birth at the local hospital.  The day we checked out with our baby in tow, we wrote the check.  And when our second daughter was born, we did the same.  Those were the days when, without any government interference in our health care, it was actually affordable to most working people.
Under your administration, no one can afford it.  And catastrophic health insurance was affordable then too.  Frankly I think life was much better before your massive expansion of the Nanny State in every aspect of our lives.

At Age 26
I started my own business.  I started small, worked hard, bought my own equipment, and paid my own way.  When the business grew, I hired help.  I got no aid from the government and I liked it that way.

At Age 30
We made the decision to enroll both our children in Christian schools.  It was expensive and difficult.  My wife started her own business just to pay tuition but it was worth it.  We wanted our girls to grow up to become conservative Christian ladies.  Fat chance of that ever happening in the cesspool of godless, government controlled liberal indoctrination centers.  And guess what?  Now that they are grown, they vote (not for you).

At Age 48
I was employed as the CEO of a private non-profit Christian ministry providing housing and care for the elderly.  For several years businesses, throughout the industry, flourished.  During the last three years, under your administration, increasing regulations and an economic recession have caused a rapid increase in costs and a massive decline in clientele.  But, because none of us are “too big to fail,” our businesses are struggling and many have closed.

So here I am at Age 64
I really had hoped for a few more years of employment but now, under your reign, I have become unemployed (Sorry Chief, “unemployed” refers to the people you count in your phony unemployment numbers) I am one of those whom you have described as “not working.”  The upside to my “not working” is that I am NOT paying any more income taxes.

I have applied, early, for my Social Security benefit (yes it is mine; I earned it, the government took it from me without my permission, and made a promise to me that it is locked away safely and it is mine).
It’s a fine predicament we’re in here under your Obama Administration.  I’m “not working,” my home value has plummeted, my savings account is devaluing rapidly due to your non-stop printing of worthless currency, the cost of goods and services are increasing due to inflation, our constitutional rights are being systematically stripped away, lawlessness abounds, and your administration has no desire to protect the citizens of the United States.

But there still remains Hope and Change for me, I still have the right to vote.
So At Age 65

I intend to do it early and often and I HOPE we, the people, CHANGE presidents.

It's About Freedom, Stupid!

The world seems split in twain these days.

I wonder if previous generations could have imagined an America where a group like the Tea Party would be vilified by so many of its citizens?

The Tea Party has been very open and clear from the beginning what it’s about, and it has been mercilessly attacked for it.

The Occupy Wall Street movement, when it could find the ability to articulate any goals, has stood up for everything that is opposed to American traditions, yet it is glorified and held up as a model for others.

The OWS movement is about redistribution of wealth, the growth of a permanent underclass and the establishment of an authoritarian government that will “look after” the details of individuals’ lives and deaths. It’s socialism, and it’s President Obama.

The Tea Party stands for: lower taxes, constitutionally limited government and fiscal responsibility. It’s God-given liberty, and it’s the Founding Fathers.

If you like being told what to think, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like being told when to see a doctor or what care you may receive, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like being told what to eat, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like working hard only to give your paycheck to government, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like being categorized and used according to your race or gender instead of your achievements, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like seeing social institutions like marriage destroyed, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like being told what you can and can’t say, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like being lied to by the media, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like being told what kind of car you may drive, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like having some bureaucrat control your home thermostat and telling you when you can use your appliances, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like the thought of having the state raise your children, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like the idea of having the government control whether and when you can have children, vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If you like the idea of having those who disagree with you “re-educated,” vote for Occupy, Obama and socialism.

If, on the other hand, you believe government should follow the Constitution, vote with the Tea Party.
If you believe taxes are too high and government needs to be cut way back, vote with the Tea Party.

If you believe all people are equal and should be judged by their character and achievements rather than skin color and gender, vote with the Tea Party.

If you believe that you are responsible for your own life and other people should butt out of it, vote with the Tea Party.

The Tea Party: It’s about freedom, stupid.

You got a problem with that?

What’s Wrong With a Little Socialism?
