My Advise For Turbo Tax Tim

To: Tim Geithner, Secretary of the Treasury

Dear TurboTim,

Today is income tax day and I was just lamenting how much of my earnings are extorted from me to be wasted by my tyrannical government. Other than the TEA Parties, the one bright spot in the news was the report about President Obama filing his personal tax return and how much he paid. I thought about how he is leading by example. Hopefully you and the rest of his cabinet and top appointees will follow his example and PAY YOUR TAXES (including penalties).

Now I have heard that you have been quoted to say that you don’t understand the tax code so let me see if I can help you with this simple little, easy-to-understand formula.

  1. Enter the amount of money you earned last year $________________
  2. Send it to the IRS.
  3. Smile and pretend you liked it.

Respectfully

Ralph M. Petersen

I was starting to go through withdrawals, it has been 5 days since your last post...

We went to a Tea Party today, exciting, fun and the only foul language was from the anti-tea party protesters. We kept the kids away from those reprobates.

Can't I claim democrat as a deduction? Maybe a mental health deduction? Surely that shaves off a good 100% of my income tax. Or maybe ACORN could send me a check?

Sorry Ellery, I have been a little distracted the past few days. On Saturday my wife had an episode that we thought was a stroke so we spent Sunday and Monday in the hospital. She's alright. The weakness and her lack of coordination in her left extremities disappeared after about twenty-four hours. The MRI revealed no evidence of a stroke. Further testing will ensue but the doctors suspect it was a TIA (mini stroke).

I also attended a TEA party today in Temecula. There were at least 1000 people there. It was great. One young woman in a car was screaming obscenities and showing her "Mr. Digit" finger puppet to the crowd and called us all a bunch of American Nazis. One lady on the sidewalk smiled at her and politely wished her a nice day.

My favorite incident was a high school boy who was holding up a sign that said, "I want to go to the prom. I need a bailout." Then a couple in a car, pulled up to the side and handed him some money and said, "We want to help you get to the prom."

Daisy,

I don't know about claiming democrat but I think I should be able to claim my uncle "Sam" as a dependent. If he's not, no one is.

So sorry to hear about your wife, Ralph!! We'll be praying for her. That had to be scary. I'm sure you are taking good care of her.

Give her a big hug from us and tell her your virtual fans appreciate that she shares you with us.

Wife trumps the blog everytime. As Daisy said, we will be praying for both of you.
