B is for Barack, Bloviations, Blatherings, Bingo, and B. S.

If you are like me, you find it extremely painful and boring to try to listen to Barack Obama’s speeches. I think it was Rush Limbaugh who first substituted the name Barbra Streisand in place of the other nouns commonly understood by the letters, b. s.

So I will follow suit in this blogpost.

B. S. (Barbra Streisand) Bingo is a great new variation on an old game. But it goes way beyond just idle amusement. It is a fun tool to help keep your concentration and attentiveness on his multitudinous blatherings and bloviations whenever Obama stands behind his teleprompters and spews his boring pile of Barbra Streisand.

Print several copies of the game card illustrated below. You will also need a timer.

When Barack begins his speech, start the timer. Then listen carefully for the words or phrases on the game card and mark them when you hear them. As soon as you get five in a row, yell out “Barbra Streisand” and note the amount of time lapsed.

You can play this every time he speaks. Try to improve your time. It shouldn’t take over a minute or two to finish the game. If you want to play longer, you can try the total blackout version. It’s not a matter of “if” he uses all the phrases; it is just a matter of how long it will take him.
